Tatjana Labossière is sculptor : In my opinion the color gold is a symbol for light and energy.
I like to think that the pre-columbian culture was right when golden ornaments and objects had a religious significance and not any sense as wealth or money. In this culture gold was “the sweat of the sun” while silver was “the tears of the moon”, much more poetic than glamour and glory in western world. The sun is the necessary energy for life, gold by his brilliance, warmth and force is his best representative on earth
By creating sculptures I am always looking for this spark of life inside the matter, the invisible energy inside a stone for example and I try to translate this energy by clear lines of force and a dynamic tension, gold is another expression of it.
